Alzheimers
My Nana has just been diagnosed with Alzheimers and it's pretty distressing tbh. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could make it less disturbing for her and for my Mum, and what to expect in the future?

I'm so sorry Sabriel. My Grandfather had Alzaheimers, but he passed away last month (due to a heart attack) before the disease really progressed. I remember how scary that diagnosis was and I'm so sorry you and you family have to go through that.
Maybe your Nana could keep a diary so that everyone will know how she feels about them, even if she isn't always able to say it? Also, keep in mind that it could be a long time before the big symptoms start to appear.

Thanks that's good advice but unfortunately the big symptoms are already appearing as it was a late diagnosis and I don't think she's capable of writing at the moment. I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather.

Sabriel so sorry to hear about this
I know nothing about this since we didn't have anyone in the family with Alzheimers, but it's so hard having to deal with this .. especially for the other family members. We'll keep you and her in our prayers, let's hope it's gonna be Ok .. as much as this situation can be OK .. You need to be strong for her too
