Anyone here own a small business?
Hey everyone, I'm a wedding consultant looking to connect to other business owners to get tips on how to improve my business. Hope I can do that here!

Hi! I do not own a business but I do want to start one. However, my current situation is that I am drowning in papers and I don't see how I can even think of starting a business when I can't even handle my job.

Well I was pretty disorganized but there are tons of books you can check out. Like all those Julie Morgenstern ones. I actually discovered a great program with Kathy Paauw. She has a system to find anything in your office in 5 mins or less. She really helped. I believe she's doing a class this week with a company called FemaleThiink. You can check it out http://www.femalethiink.com/declutter.aspx (I hope I did that right!). It's teleclass called Declutter Your Space, Declutter Your Life. I might do it again for good measure. I will post any other resources I come up with. Good luck!

My husband is part owner of a business but his partner does most of the business work. I am an independent contractor as a Realtor but I am still starting. What kind of tips do you need? I don't know if I can help or not.

Starshine, how long have you been in business? Are you just starting off? I have my own business, it's been 15 months and things are going well. What I have found to help is having a small team of like-minded people to talk to and get support from when I need it and also to give to them as they need. There are lots of books out there too, not just small business type books but books by Napoleon Hill, Dennis Waitley, Brian Tracy to help with self growth and improvement. Hope I've been of help to you.

I don't own my own busness but it is a dream I have. I went to the female think page and it looks interesting. I am within retirement age and would love to develop something to both keep busy and make some money.
I envision something that has to do with women helping women.

Then go for it. I think you have the strength and energy to do this .. go girl
I'd like to have my own web development firm. I'll start very small, and then try to expand. This is my dream business
