Books that have shoked you ...

We have some books that are good and intense, but do keep pushing our limits and shock us. Which books you recall having shocked you?

gee... i didn't read so much during ...my time on earth Smile
my favourite book is "the forest of the hanged" but as a child i loved "Tarzan" Smile i have a collection of 10 volumes and i read them all! I can't say that shocked me,but it sure changed me a lot Smile i used to think i act sometimes like a boy and try to be tough because of those books, but now... i realise that's just me Smile

I'm not easily shocked. Opus Pistorum maybe. It is by Henry Miller. I haven't finished it but I promised myself that I would in an effort to find something of literary value in it. The main character is a horrifying human being.
