Hey do you exercise?

How many people out here exercise regularly? I’m very interested to do this. But unfortunately I don’t get time to do it on a regular basis. After returning home from my office…off I feel so tired, in fact feel exhausted. I know it’s necessary to do in order to maintain a good figure and stay healthy and fit for long. But my tight work schedule does not give me permission to do so. I’ve a keen interest in Yoga and tried many times to do it in the early morning. But didn’t get able to continue. Please tell me how you people manage time to exercise daily.

first my kids are older but I find after many years of battling my weight the only thing that really works is exercise. As women we are taught to take care of everyone else first so it makes it hard. You need a supportive husband for sure. I dance NIA which is a combination of yoga and marshal arts. I do this 4 times a week and I do it after work. When I am the most tired is the time I need it the most. It is also spritual for me. Our teacher focuses on being strong powerful women. I also bellydance once a week and that is so fun.

Last week I had a really bad day and in that class she taught us a move to simulate the throwng away of problems and bad carma people. Sounds silly but it worked.

Our group also celebrates each gals birthday once a month. I have worked out in both gender gyms and it is much better for me in an all female place. smilie

Thanks a lot for your reply. Smile

Lala I just scared of that thing...extra belly!!It's horrible. Gabby, whatever you're doing with a combination of Yoga and Marshal arts I think it's too good. After studying your post I think it'll not only make you fit but also give you a strong mind, which is very necessary.
You do bellydancing also :o ....it's great Big Grin . Will you teach me? You're really a multitalented woman.

But I also believe that keeping a healthy body also requires a good food habit. Excessive drinking or smoking, junk foods, cold drinks etc. are very harmful for our body. I always avoid them. But the main problem is I do not get time to exercise regularly. But can feel I need to do.

Thanks Nikita. I just read in this months redbook magazine and her message was for all women I think. Because we take care of everything and everyone we don't take time take care of ourselves.
I would love to have a bellydance class with the ladies here. Might be hard since we are all over the world but it is fun to think about.

I used to go to Karate classes 4-5 times a week. I never felt better. I was always a slender woman (1.7 m and 50 kg), but that was mostly because of my family .. we're all skinny. Still I was a weak person. After starting karate my body started getting a shape: nice abs, nice butt, nice legs. Sports did me good. After some years I started having some back pains (due to work, imagine, not sports), but I was unable to make any efforts, lest survive at karate. After almost 2 years of pause I got back. I train 1-2 times a week with Adi and another friend and I am feeling better. I intend getting to 2 classes a week and maybe in 1 year attempt to get another rank. So far I have so many things to recover from the past (stamina, flexibility, technique), but I love each minute of it.

For a sedentary person it's a great thing to exercise. Doesn't matter what diet you're on, those nice firm abs and butt come from exercise. Those superb muscles are just a result of many hours or sports. But God that's awesome ... must be the endorphines, but some sports are great for anyone

Tomorrow 2 girlfriends and I are going to register to run a 10k in June. For participating we get a month at a local health club. Not sure how much I will be able to use it because of my dancing. I agree it must be something because when i was young I was sort of taught I was not good at sports. I have learned that it is only competitive sports I'm not good at. I can run, swim, dance and probably my favorite thing to do in the summer is ride my bike.

I don't like it when people tell me what I am good at and what I am not good at. No one can say this except for yourself after trying your ..tt off. I am so glad you didn't listen to this crap anymore and you're doing so fine. You don't have to earn medals. Just by having an exercise routine and living a healthy life you can achieve so many things Smile

Ramona, it’s great to hear that you used to go for karate. When I was in 9th standard I’ve got admitted in a karate class with one of my friends. But unfortunately I was unable to continue it. If you can maintain, it really gives you some positive things.
