Movies you avoid since they'd be wasting your time?

There are some movies we just avoid seeing since we know they'd be a loss of time for us. We already know something about them and we'd dislike them. What movies would you place in this category?

I agree that the HP movies aren't great but I know lots of people who do like them, and I'm willing to accept that for some people they're really good fun to watch. However your comment about subtitled films is entirely ignorant and plain wrong. Have you watched Spirited Away? Etre et Avoir? Amelie? All fantastic films. Just because they're not British/American, doesn't automatically mean they're appalling.

In fact, I've never seen a crap foreign film, but I've seen plenty of ones in English. for example, "Gone". It had a really good premise and was supposed to be a suspense thriller type movie. But it never actually went anywhere. Characters disappeared and were never referred to again - not in a scary way, just in a way that made you think the script writers had forgotten them. And the ending was rubbish! Don't go see it.

^ I've seen a couple of good French ones. I did try watching the original Ring and I'll admit I found the subtitles distracting but the film is very good. Foreign films tend to be better because the actors are merited generally on talent and not just their sex appeal. Nor do they spend too much on effects!

One film I can think of that is a total waste of time was Revolver, utter pants! The last Halloween. H2O was pretty lame too, even though it's got Josh Harnett in it.

i totally agree with you on this one.

I think Australian produced films are really boring although that is due to the fact that they are restricted financially with a small budget compared to other countries.
