My gf was in the hospital last Sat :(

Last Saturday, when i got home from work, our neighbor told me they rushed my gf to th hospital...i was really shocked and my world fall into pieces, hearing that news.

She texted me and told me few hours before she's having a fever and her hands felt numb.....i wanted to go home but i cant (weekly report must be finished and besides, they didnt let me).

She was diagnosed with 'Hyperventilation': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperventilation

*hyperventilation (or hyperpnea) is the state of breathing faster or deeper (hyper) than necessary, and thereby reducing the carbon dioxide concentration of the blood below normal.

This causes various symptoms such as numbness or tingling in the hands, feet and lips, lightheadedness, dizziness, headache, chest pain, slurred speech and sometimes fainting.

But she's ok now and need some rest. I was really scared and thought i will loose her. I know im over reacting but seeing my love one suffering for the first time...its awful and i cant bear it....i cried and cried....
i love her even more and proved that no matter what happens, i will never leave her and i will do anything for her to be safe.

You didn't overreact. This is what happens when you love somebody enough to feel the world would crumble if anything happened to that person Smile It shows once again that no matter the age/sex/religion/race true love is just that: TRUE LOVE.

I feel so sorry for you to hear this. I can totally relate to your feelings. Still I am so happy in the end it wasn't something more serious. Hyperventilation is not something unimportant, but it's good that it wasn't something more serious.

Make sure she does rest .. now she needs to recover so make sure she doesn't play "wonder woman' just right now.

As for the idiots at work, they should be shot. If I had any problems at home my boss would let me go see what's there. My family/loved ones life is more important that those stupid assignments, your boss could have shown more compasion .. well, it's over now Wink

Send your GF our best wishes and prayers. Tell her that, even if we don't know her, we love her as much as we love you. Hugs to you both Wink

OH My! I am sorry to hear about your gf. I went to the hospital in July and was diagnosed with anxiety/panic attacks. I was hyperventilating with the attacks. I was doing this for a few days and didn't know what it was until I went to the hospital. It is a very scarey feeling. I thought I was dying or having a heart attack. I never passed out but felt like I was. When I went to the hospital I was having chest tightness and trouble breathing. I now carry medication with me at all times incase I start with the symptoms. I hope and pray for the best for your gf.

I had anxiety attacks right after my son was born. It is scary.

I agree you know you love someone when you don't overact and stay cool. Bless both of your hearts.
You also sound very loyal I like that in a person.
Love
Gabby Smile

I am glad to hear she is feeling better. She is lucky to have you by her side...I am sure that is the most important treatment for someone getting better is to have someone who they love and who loves them by their side. Tell her not to scare you anymore like that.
