    Cashless society

Not for me, I like the stuff. I like taking it from my customers, I like counting it all up at home, I like handing it over in shops, I LIKE IT!!

I like cash too but I rarely have more than $20 in my pocket.

My husband is so notorious when it comes to forgetting money in his pocket then put his pants in the washer. One time, when I moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer, I saw over $100 fell out of his jeans.

I think whatever cash comes out in the laundry belongs to whoever is doing the laundry, finders keepers.

Really though even though credit cards are mandatory in todays world i still always carry cash with me. I tend to use it for small purchases whenever i can.

His money is my money anyway ...hahaha....

I used the debit card all the time and almost 100% of the merchants here accept the DC regardless of the amount anyway.

My job is all about cash, so most of my spend is with little bits of paper.

I am all for cashless. I NEVER have cash on me. But then again I carry a wallet that holds my cell phone, and a few cards and that's all. Cash is bulky to me

When the storms were heading this way, one of the things on the checklist was to have cash in case of power outages.

We're obviously too dependent on technology, and we wouldn't be able to function properly without much of it lol

Thats one of the first things we were told is to have cash. The storms often can and do take away power.I n fact there are still thousands without it.

Can you imagine you have to get away from your house without any money and not knowing when you will be back?

And some people are defending this behavior, they are saying this is a matter of surviving. It's so disgusting when I read that a guy was looting someone's house when the corpse of the owner was floating right in front of him.

When we do that we become evil.

I carry a big bag but little, if any, cash. My husband's the opposite. No that's not accurate. No bag.....and not much cash either. I handle the finances.

That's a disappointment, I was just starting to picture him with a little bag and a lot of dosh.

I must admit I don't know how much my husband has in his wallet. If I need some cash and don't want to go to the ATM, I just tell him I need cash and he always has something to give me.

    Re: Cashless society

I know in the Netherlands there is little cash, most everyone uses their debit cards and if you do need a certain amount of cash you have to order it from the bank. In reference to what Annie said about finding money in the laundry, my Husband is also one that doesn't empty his pockets before putting his pants in the wash. Every time I find money I put it in this jar I have hidden in my closet one of these days I'll count it but I do agree who ever does the laundry should be able to keep it however in my case it's going right back to my Husband. I think I will give it to him as a Christmas gift one year and maybe he will start checking his pockets when he finds out how much he's lost

I usually always have cash on me, I don't like using my debit card for every single transaction I make because I've had my debit card info stolen twice already and this country doesn't seem to be on top of protecting us as much as they should. This situation with Equifax has truly opened my eyes to who is entitled to our private personal information and to think they can sit on the Data they took for a year then use it for who knows what makes me very uncomfortable. They say your entitled to 3 free credit checks a year but if you run credit checks and have to many it can cause your credit score to lower, so your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Thanks Jessica, I did not know that your credit score would be affected if you run a check on it. I thought that will happen only if someone else run a credit check on us.

    Re: Cashless society

Your credit score is also affected if you apply for loans, even if you choose not to follow through......

Hence you should always search online for the best deal, rather than asking what they will offer you.

    Annoying, isn't it?

    Re: Cashless society

Not only that your credit score is affected if you use your credit card too much and carry a large balance when the score is run. But this is the one that gets me. Your credit score is also affected if you don't use your credit crds enough. its almost like they are out there trying to get you lol.

My husband is 20 point away from the perfect score and mine is 796. I don't know how they determine that. I have and d exactly what he does.
