Something old,....
something new,
something borrowed, something blue, penny in your shoe? Are you following with this tradition? I did, except for the penny in my shoe. ~''When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies''~ |

I did too, except the penny which I hadn't
heard of. I doubled-up on the old a bit though, as the 'borrowed' was also old. The 'blue' was also not brand new. LOL Old = my mum's wedding veil (had my own headpiece attached to it though as hers had broken years beforehand, but the veil part was hers). New = my dress, headpiece, etc. Borrowed = my nanna's pearl and diamond choker. It had been a wedding present from my grandfather to her and she asked me if I'd like to wear it for my wedding. My sister later wore it on her wedding day, as did my two female cousins on that side of the family. Blue = garter that used to belong to my matron of honour. I can't deny what I believe I can't be what I'm not. - Meatloaf |

Old - My husband's Grandmother gave
me an Ivory handerkerchief with lace trim that had belonged to her grandmother. I'm a big cry baby so this was perfect; I held in my left hand during the entire ceremony New - dress, veil, jewlrey Borrowed - A broach of my Grandmother's. I think it was made of Mother of Pearl, it was a flower. I clipped it to the handkercheif Blue - My best friend's Mom (My OTHER Mom) made me blue and white garter. |
