Studying Part Time
I'd love to do some
part time study, but I'm worried I'd be biting off more than I could chew. Anyone successfully combining work/mothering with study have any tips for
me?

You should go for it! Just make sure to
schedule your classes when you can have the children in childcare or with your husband. I hear that many women do better with children because they
don't procrastinate so much with their papers seeing that they have one chance to get it done.

studying
I'm a mom and student. I take
classes through mail and Internet. It's been really tough for me to get motivated lately being that I have 3 little ones at home and one more on the way.
I don't like my current homework assignments because I don't like to read about the English language. I'm sure it's good review for me, especially since
I'll have to help my kids with it in the near future, but it's been a long time since I was in school (20 some years) and I've forgotten all this stuff. I just
want to get done and get the degree I never got.
I think I have bit off more than I can chew but my husband is pushing me to get it done so I try to open my books at least once a week. It's going really
slow though and I am probably really far behind. The school gives you a time limit to get your degree done but I don't know if I'll make it now. I just
don't have it in me like I did when I first started.

I go to school full time, work part time,
and am a SAHM during the day. It's tough, but I want to start my career as a teacher as soon as possible. I take classes at night and online. It's nice
that night classes fit into our schedule and the online classes work well because I can read the lessons and do my work on my own time. It does get tough
to stay motivated with the online classes sometimes, though. You don't have to go into class, so there's not the pressure to keep up on things as
much.
