I think one should be ashamed of when her job involves fooling or taking advantage of other people to earn money. Yes, everyone should earn money but you got to have dignity on your job Big Grin

Maybe those who are involved in illegal stuffs like selling pirated things, carnapping, etc because they may say that its their way to earn money but the end doesn't satisfy their means.

In my opinion, those don't qualify as a "job", although it is a way to raise money

RE: Is there a job one should be ashamed of?

Many jobs are shameful. Such as prostitution, drug dealing, pimping, theft, con artists, strippers, and many more.

Some say there are jobs one should be ashamed of, others say NO job is a reason to be ashamed since that person is WORKING.

What are your views about this? How does YOUR society view this?

I think all jobs should be done with pride in oneself. Jobs are created because the service is needed to cater for the community. No matter what type of job we do, it is important. I think there are those in society who do descriminate against certain jobs, but these people are not in the majority, thank goodness. The Japanese provide a perfect example of having pride in their jobs. No matter what job they have, they consider it an honour to be considered to serve the community. This is a fabulous attitude and really can make one feel much better in themselves with whatever employment they take on.
