"Those who say they can see through women are missing a lot"
I just looked for a nice motto for our new header in the forums and this one really caught my attention.

What does this statement mean to you? How would you "explain" it?

well...this is a tough one... :!:
uhm... the only thing i can think of now is that most of the people see women as weak persons... noone thinks women can do a job as better as the man... so i think this is what "those" are "missing a lot" ...
Of course, this affirmation has a lot more deep meaning which i can't fin now, because i am too tired but maybe someone else can help me out... i see noone tried to explain this Motto so far... i just gave my best shot

I think you kinda nail it. People consider women to be quite feeble minded and predictable. Well, we're not. We're smart and we can think to a lot of interesting things, not to mention we're all different and complex. Many peolpe claim to know us, but they just miss a lot of important things

i agree with you women are not all the same and are not always how men percieve us to be. we are different and we can all achieve what we put our minds to. we just need the drive and for someone to believe in us. we arent as weak as they think we are

i think that it means that the people who think they can see through women are ignorant and dont take time to listen, if they really took the time to look they would see that we are all individual, and profound human beings

I reckon it could also be regarding how women see eachother. I could be completely wrong as I also agree with the interpretations you lot have given, but there doesn't seem to be a sisterhood anymore. Alot of women think the other women are bitchy and not worth being friends with, or they will steal their man and other friends. Whereas here we can all be friendly and chatty with eachother and ask for advice from other women. If you try to see through another woman you could well be missing out on a brilliant friendship.

Has anyone watched VH1 Pick Up Artist? No man should see this!! This guy is telling men how to break down our walls! I don't like!!

Women are strong, the ones who make things work, the ones who comfort, teach, motivate and give all they have not expecting to be given to. When men say things that are vulger towards women, demean women, and think they are better and stronger, they are ignorant. Without the love of a good woman, men are not their whole, are not at their strongest.

I also agree with Born Lippy on her observation of the Sisterhood. Many women are so afraid to make friends with women, they put down their own sex, and lose the sisterly bond and fondness women are able to give each other. I do know that their are manipulative and decietful women who will do whatever they can to make others around them as miserable as they are, but not all women. It is the same as in love, with making friends, risk is involved, and without trying you may never know what you could have had.

As far as the women who demean our sex, agreeing that they are hoes, whores, and bitches, who cares about them. Women who think like this and do not want to think or aspire for better will get treated the way they agree to be treated.

We as women need to stick together and do not ever let a man control, put us down, belittle, or demean us.
