I'm reading "Blonde" by Joyce Carol Oates for like the seventh time. Big Grin I love it so much, it feels like coming home everytime I open it after reading it so many times.

Sure! Smile

"Blonde" is based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. It starts with her childhood and then the reader gets to follow her through her life until her tragic death. According to Joyce Carol Oates, you are not supposed to read it as a biography, but as a fictional story with some reality in it. Even if very much of it is made up, I think the portrait of Marilyn in "Blonde" somehow feels very genuine. This is the most beautiful novel I have ever read in my life. It just takes your breath away... every sentence is like a piece of poetry.

I really hope that JCO will win the Nobel Litterature Prize soon, because she deserves it. I love all her books that I have read, but "Blonde" is the best.
