What do you think about antidepressants? Did/do you take any? Are they OK? Not? Why?

i didn't take any... as i said in another topic..i hate medical stuff.. i don't trust them, and i hate the idea of becoming dependent of them.. I preffer the natural remedies, like, in this case, a good comedy, good music or a night out or just... WOF

I don't take any anti-depressants but my hubby has to take an anxiety pill for panic attacks. The pill he takes can be used as an anti-depressant. I don't believe in taking pills and he hates taking them but he rather take one pill for the rest of his life that have panic attacks daily. If yall have ever had a bad one you would know that having them constant is horrific. I started having panic attacks also but not too often so I have a pill I carry to take when needed but it is not an anti-depressant.

sorry to hear about your loved one having to be so dependent on medicine...but in this cases, it really helps. Better to take it than have problems.

i think anti-depressants are a good thing when paired with thearapy only if it gets to the point where it is that bad. I've been on anti-depressants for 4 years now and they finally started to help when i went to see a phychiatrist. I don't think they do the trick alone.

well, it depends... sometimes they do, i know this because i have some friends who tale them....but they are kinda dependant on them..
