My brother is gay, and him and his partner are just so happy because they love each other. So what if they are the same gender. I mean, you can't help how you feel <shrug> and yet I can't believe how so many people are homophobic.

Jane....some people are narrow minded to understand how gay people feel when it comes to love....
honestly, even if i am loving the same sex...im super happy. that's what really important to all of us...happiness!

As long as you're happy with who you are with, nothing else should matter.

My brother came out as gay at 19 and my parents disowned him and kicked him out of the house. I have never really forgiven them for that. He's not even invited to Sunday Roasts which makes me very upset.

im sorry about your brother. but i wish he's happy wherever he is right now. I know someday your parents will understand and forgive him.

He was recently (May) over here (NZ) with his partner visiting me, (He Lives in South Africa) and they are both so happy. It makes me cry almost :-)

We had a family dinner together, with both sides ending in tears. I can't repeat what happened, it upsets me so much.

I have nothing against gays, a person's sexual orientation and preference does not make them a lesser human. A person's integrity and their respect for others are what counts. Even though I come from a fairly broad minded society, I know people at work do make fun of gay people and from what I see, it's mostly the guys who are doing that.

I have many gay friends and it always makes me sad when they tell me about how ignorant people treat them sometimes... Sweden is supposed to be a very tolerant country but when it comes to these issues I think we have a long way to go before all people are treated equally. .

Love is love why let someone's gender stop you from loving them?

I am bisexual so maybe that might be why alittle bit, but I never gave it much thought. Being gay or straight or anywhere in between it doesn't make you who you are inside so why does it matter.

i have a lesbian friend, we were toghether on a trip at the mountains,...and i caould have sworn she was not gay! she talked only to guys and me...as we were the only ones hiking...and she was very ok...a good girl...and one day i met her and after we talked a while, her gf came, and the kissed...and i was shocked (i tried not to show my"shock" ) and i am totally ok with gay persons...
