I have read somethiing about it. I think in a way it's too drastic and I wouldn't want to make my body put up with all this "stress". I think a moderate diet and some sports can do better on a long term than such radical diets.

I wouldn't try it either. Seems too "hard" on the body.

Actually I am doing Adkins right now and it's fine for me. I have lost 10 pounds and I have a lot more energy. Everyone thinks it is so bad that your cutting out all the carbs. I still eat carbs but not as much as I used to and it seems to be working for me. Everyone is different and I don't think it is to drastic it's all in moderation. Tongue

I've done it and it does work. But it's tough. The only thing I didn't like is that I would lose weight, but I'd seem puffy still.
I have lost my baby weight with a combo of balanced diet and exercise. It took a long time, but it was worth it and I didn't have to deprive myself.

the1coolmom glad to hear you managed to get into a better shape with this diet. I agree that a serious ingredient in this "recipe" of getting into a better shape is exercising.

I think all women need to understand that a controlled diet is JUST one of the things needed and you cannot have good results without exercising. I will repeat this to death to all people Big Grin
